Airport Transit (A)

For type A airport transit visa allows you to wait for a connecting flight in the international area of the airport. This visa does not grant access to the Schengen area. Only some nationalities require an airport transit visa. Documents to be submitted with a visa application:

• A recognised passport or a recognised travel document.The passport of the travel document produced should have validity of 03 months after the expiration of the vaild visa.
• One legibly and fully completed application form, dated and signed.
• One recent passport size photograph (to be glued to the form no staples).
• A valid entry visa for the country of final destination.

Important:

1. The documents listed above are only the basic documents to be submitted in all cases. Additional documents may be requested by the Embassy and Applicants may also be invited for an interview.
2. All submitted documents must be recent (within the last 06 months). Submitting false documents may be followed by legal action.
3. The Embassy may ask for verification from the bank/financial institutions for the financial documents provided.
4. The above mentioned type 'A' visa is for Airport Transit only and not valid for any other Schengen country.  
5. The Embassy also processes applications for Luxembourg.
