New Visa Application Procedure at the Consulate General of Belgium in Mumbai
The Consulate General of Belgium, Mumbai is pleased to introduce a new facility
to meet the ever-increasing demand for Belgian Visa among Residents in India.
It is our constant effort to provide greater comfort and convenience to our
visa applicants.
Applicants coming from the States of Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Kerala,
Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and the Territories of Daman and Diu, Dadra
and Nagar Haveli and Pondicherry have to apply for their visa at the Consulate
General of Belgium in Mumbai. These applications can now be submitted at the
Belgium Visa Application Centres in Mumbai or Bangalore.
A visa application can be submitted by the following:
1) Applicant himself.
2) Travel Agents.
3) Representative.
Applications accepted at Belgium Visa Application Center will be submitted on
the next working day in the Consulate. Processing time for a minimum of one
working day, under normal circumstances (excluding day of submission at the
Belgium Visa Application Centre) when an application is submitted in Mumbai and
two working days if submitted in Bangalore.
Applicants residing in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Lakshwadeep are strongly
advised to submit their visa application via the Bangalore centre.
Should a family member/ Travel Agent or Representative plan to collect the
processed application on the applicant's behalf, he/she needs to carry a Photo
Id of himself/herself and an authority letter from the applicant. Processed
applications can also be returned by Courier at an additional cost.
Schengen visa has to be obtained from the Consulate of the country where the
MAIN PURPOSE OF TRAVEL lies. Therefore, please check your travel plans before
making your application to the Belgian Consulate. In case of travel to multiple
Schengen countries, please make your application to the Consulate where you
will be staying for the maximum number of days.
