SPORTS OR CULTURAL VISA

• A recognised passport or a recognised travel document.The passport or the travel document produced should have validity of 03 months after the expiration of the vaild visa.
• One legibly and fully completed application form dated and signed.
• One recent passport size photograph (To be glued to the form no staples).
• Letter of introduction explaining the purpose of the travel and the travel details
• An invitation letter from the host / organization that is hosting the event.
• Proof of transportation confirmed roundtrip or outbound airline ticket, mentioning the dates of departure and return (a reservation will suffice when introducing the application, the tickets will have to be shown when picking-up the visa)
• A Travel Insurance covering hospitalization and medical repatriation to an amount of at least 30,000 euros.
• Proof of financial solvency:
  
  • An affidavit of support (i.e. the Annexe 3 bis) to be obtained by the host at the municipal office of the place of residence and legalized by this authority. Only Belgian citizens or foreigners being permanent residents in Belgium for unlimited period
  • + Proof that the host meets the legal requirements as to financial solvability to act as a guarantor (salary slips of the last three months or most recent income tax statement)
  • +Attestation of family composition of the guarantor (issued by the municipal administration)
  • +Copy of identity card or residence permit of the guarantor (both sides)
• Proof and employment and income:
  
  • For Self Employed Applicants:
  • Income tax return.
  • Personal bank statements covering the past 03 months
  • For Salaried applicants:
    • A letter from the company explaining the designation and tenure of the applicant
    • Salary slips of last 03 months
    • Letter from the company confirming the leave status for the desired period of stay.
  • If you are a student:
    • A school attestation conforming the holiday and if the applicant is below the age of 18 years.
    • Official letter from the notary confirming the consent of both parents and complete details as mentioned.

Important:

1. The documents listed above are only the basic documents to be submitted in all cases. Additional documents may be requested by the Embassy and Applicants may also be invited for an interview.
2. All submitted documents must be recent (within the last 06 month). Submitting false documents may be followed by legal action.
3. The Embassy may ask for verification from the bank/financial institutions for the financial documents provided.
4. The above mentioned type 'C' visa is for valid for all Schengen countries and is intended for a short stay up to 90 days.
5. The Embassy also processes applications for Luxembourg.Please take two photocopies of the first page & last page of your passport prior to your submission at VFS.
